Even fashion shows could not evade the impact of economic crunch worldwide. David Jones Autumn/Winter 2009 Fashion Show at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia was a shell of its former self. Expenses were slashed up to 50% – making it a ramp show only, with no post show parties or celebrations.
Budget cuts aside, the show was lovely. Our highlight – the cute and sexy Miranda Kerr (girlfriend of our favorite Hollywood hunk, Orlando Bloom).
Attendees were treated to a diverse range of ready-to-wear garments, from stylish overcoats, to short jackets teamed with mini skirts and ankle shoes, to exquisite prom dresses and light linen ruffles. The collection was especially colorful, with a dominant use of red, orange, green and turquoise.
