Everyone who’s anyone is on board with the countdown to the hottest fashion event to take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The 2nd Annual Caribbean American Fashion Show is scheduled to take place next Sunday June 20th at 8pm in the Renaissance Plantation Hotel…that’s only TEN days away! Over 50 breath taking models will light up the runway in dresses, pants, jackets, boots, bags and accessories designed by ten talented designers from America and various Caribbean islands. There’s even some talk about models wearing body art. Interesting!
Of course there has to be great music to compliment a great show. Maurice Tucker, the president and CEO of SynJen Magazine, Vibezz TV and Hype Radio, has arranged for Jon Sax, who performed at the 5th Annual Jazz in the Garden 2010 and the Jamaican Jazz and Blues Festival 2010, to provide the musical entertainment for the night.
“This year’s event will bring a new meaning to sexy. One can expect to be mesmerized, awe struck and completely entertained.” said Mr. Tucker, who has also arranged other fashion shows such as Fashion Extravaganza, South Beach Fashion on the Beach and Haute Couture Fashion Show. I don’t know about you but I’m getting butterflies in my stomach just thinking about how fun this event is going to be. I can’t wait!

These hot shorts are also double lined as to ensure there is no unintentional flashing (so embarrassing). If you can’t get him up off the couch and down to the store no worries! You can always check out Mollusk Surf Shop’s official website and place an order, but you better act fast! With prices starting at $50 you’ll be lucky to get you a pair.

Sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian (reality TV stars of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami) were rumored to have all gone blonde last week via a twitter post. Is it true? Well…YES!

Kourtney Kardashian blonde
The three sported golden locks during a Beach Bunny Swimwear photo shoot on June 2nd. “Kim, Kourt and I did a really fun swimsuit photo shoot and we all wore blonde wigs!” Khloe dished on her blog.
Beach Bunny Swimwears’ objective is to create a line of swimwear that is as equally unique as the women who pick them out. Their new line, Kardashians for Beach Bunny, does just that! Beach Bunny, who has been around for four years, have recently opened two new store fronts in Scottsdale, AZ and Newport Beach, CA and this November plan on launching their third in LA along side of Lisa Kline.
The Kardashian’s own a fashion boutique appropriately named D-A-S-H where they sell stylish one of a kind clothing that is conservative as well as duds that are glamorous and flirty. There are two store locations, one in Calabasas, California that was opened in 2006 and another that just celebrated its one year anniversary May 20th in Miami Beach. It has been speculated that a third location is going to be opened right here in NYC. How exciting! I can’t wait!

It’s summer time again and we’re all going to be spending ample time outdoors enjoying the fresh air. With the hot weather rapidly approaching, women everywhere are preparing their feet for a summer of sandals, flip flops, open toe shoes or even shoelessness (only appropriate at the beach of course). Well, I’m here to tell you having the right color nail polish for those pretty toes is a must! Here are some pointers that will help you find the perfect shade of polish for that summer pedicure.
Fair skin tone: Since you have such a light complexion you can almost get away with murder. Purples, pinks and reds go fantastically with your tone. Remember, you can ALMOST get away with any color- there are a few shades that you should stay away from. Dark polishes such as blues and greens are no good. Yellows and shades of gold make you look pale and in need of a tan (shaking my head) not what we’re going for.
Medium skin tone: Pinks, blues and oranges are your color girl! These shades will help give tan looking skin while maintaining that bright and dynamic look. If you are able to find these colors in metallic EVEN BETTER! Unless you’re trying to avoid the tan look avoid using navy blues, dark reds or purples.
Tan skin tone: Like women who are fair skinned you can get away with most colors. Light blue, pink and browns look great against your skin. Even chocolate would compliment your tone. The Steer clear of is gold as it often blends in with skin.
Dark skin tone: Unlike the ladies with fair and medium skin tones you don’t have to stay away from maroons or dark greens. Go for it! These colors make you look HOT! Gold is still taboo and with shades that are too light might be a bad choice. Depending on how dark your skin is avoid whites, oranges and silver.
So now that you have identified that special polish that’s going to turn you into a rock diva for the summer, strap up your newest sandals and head for the beach!

When we last saw Whitney Port and her band of ambitious vixens, they were taking over
The City. Kelly Cutrone, owner of Peoples Revolution offered Port the chance to put on a runway show during New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park; and Erin Kaplan and Olivia Palermo, well, basically, they hate each other. Let the drama begin…
The second season of MTV’s The City kicks off with Whitney stressing in preparation for her rapidly approaching runway show. Whitney impresses upon Roxy the magnitude of her undertaking and with NY Fashion Week just around the corner, reveals that she only has completed seventeen of the twenty-four looks she is expected to produce. In addition, she still needs to cast the models for the runway show, select hairstyles for the models, choose the make-up, and decide on music.
While Whitney is essentially in the midst of fashion purgatory, Olivia and Erin are confronted with the fallout from what will forever be known as The Today Show Incident. Joe Zee, creative director of ELLE magazine sits down with Olivia first and lets her know in no uncertain terms that he is not happy. Telling her, “Erin has been here longer,” and, “…I need you to make amends.” Mr. Zee then reports the beef to ELLE Editor and Chief Robbie Meyers who, calls Erin into her office to get a better sense of the situation. In the end Erin Kaplan , PR Director and consummate professional, agrees to mend fences, “…if it’s great for the magazine.” In the end the rivals meet for coffee and decide to move forward.
Back in fashion limbo, Whitney manages to pull together the final details and puts an impressive runway show. The show was such a success that even Kelly Cutrone, known and also adored for her rough and often caustic demeanor, offered Port several heartfelt words of praise and adoration. In a poignant moment Cutrone says, “I want you to look around and see what you’ve manifested in such a short period of time.”
