Yesterday – The Vogue City, New York’s premiere website for fashion bargains hosted the Wear Today Gone Tomorrow fashion show in a sleek Chelsea loft. We were lucky enough to be in attendance and the concept of the show was very interesting.
Wear Today Gone Tomorrow specializes in high-end fashion rentals for people like you and I. For those that can’t afford a closet full on the hottest runway fashion (and as the WTGT website suggests, “who wants to be seen in the same dress twice anyway!”) – customers can rent dresses at 1/10 of the sticker price.
For example, a Carolina Herrera strapless silk dress that retails for $2990 can be had for an evening for $299. If you still have sticker shock, fear not, for there were plenty of affordable dresses as well (such as a Chelsea Flower mini dress that can be rented for a mere $24).
The show was quite lovely, and the dresses featured were well accessorized with footwear ranging from Christian Louboutin pumps to Steve Madden wedges.
